Multi-split AC now qualifies for ESS and PDRS incentives

From July 1, multi-split air conditioners are eligible under both the ESS and PDRS schemes for residential and small business jobs.

What else has changed:

Minimum mandatory co-payment:

  • $500 for standard split systems,

  • $1,000 for a multi-split or ducted, up to 15W cooling,

  • $2,000 for a multi-split or ducted ranging from 15-20kW cooling and,

  • $3,000 for a multi-split or ducted for systems 20kW+ cooling.

What to watch

Certificate creation is capped, though system size isn't:

  • 90 ESCs in cold climate zones

  • 70 ESCs in average or hot climate zones

  • Up to 500 PRCs across all climate zones

Installs must also meet AS/NZS 5141:2018. Worth checking your process against that standard now, rather than at claim time.

Why NCBA

Over the years, we've built a reputation for paying customers reliably, without asking installers to change how they work to fit us.

If you're looking to get incentives or understand more about the new rules, our team can walk through eligibility, stacking, and documentation requirements.
