Last Chance to Claim Incentives for Commercial Lighting in NSW

The NSW Government is phasing out incentives for most standard commercial lighting upgrades under the Energy Savings Scheme (ESS)

What’s Changing with Commercial Lighting Incentives?

From 31 March 2026, standard lighting upgrades like metal halides, fluorescent tubes, and halogen globes will no longer qualify for incentives under the deemed method. While a new SuperLED methodology is being introduced, it comes with strict and costly conditions, making it impractical for most projects.

What Does This Mean for You?

If you’ve been holding off on lighting upgrades, the clock is ticking. You have until 31 March 2026 to install and create the certificates from your commercial lighting claims.

To guarantee certificate creation, NCBA kindly requests that all paperwork be submitted by 6 March 2026. If you have installations scheduled after this date, please reach out to us so we can discuss the best way to support you.

If you have clients who’ve been hesitant, jobs pending installation, or projects stuck in decision-making, now is the time to act before the window closes for good.
