Happy Holidays from everyone at NCBA!

What a year 2022 has been, starting with a change in the Federal Government resulting in a legislated emissions reduction target of 43%. Closer to home, the NSW Government expanded the Energy Savings Scheme (ESS) with changes to Air Conditioning, Hot Water and Refrigerated Cabinet activities, whilst launching the first white certificate Peak Demand Scheme in the world.

NCBA would like to thank you for your partnership this year, which has enabled us to achieve incredible results including;

  • Being the first ACP to create and trade Peak Reduction Certificates (PRCs)

  • Registering the most ESCs we've ever created in a calendar year at over 850,000

  • Becoming the largest ACCU aggregator in FY21/22 under the Commercial and Public Lighting Method

Finally, finishing off 2022 with some welcome news, the NSW Government has released their planned changes to the Safeguard until 2025. Included within this update is the proposed LED Lighting Roadmap, outlining (as of December 2022) that any potential changes will not become effective until Q4 2024

The NCBA office will be closed from Friday the 23rd of December and re-open Monday the 9th of January.

We look forward to working with you in 2023 and beyond, and wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year!

Kind Regards,

The NCBA Team
