National Carbon Bank of Australia (NCBA) was founded in 2012 to help businesses and organisations realise the maximum savings available to them from state and federal government energy efficiency schemes. These include the NSW Energy Savings Scheme, the Victorian Energy Upgrades Program and the Commonwealth Emissions Reduction Fund.

NCBA extends the benefits available from the above schemes to our customers by working as an independent and transparent facilitator of carbon abatement certificates. At NCBA we communicate and coordinate with our customers, their managers/operators, subcontractors and suppliers to remove the pain from the process, release claims quickly and provide immediate and ongoing financial returns.

NCBA is the biggest certificate creator in the NSW Energy Savings Scheme. In NSW, we have the highest level of volumetric certificates ever awarded by IPART (the Scheme Administrator) - 200,000 ESCs. This represents a rolling market value of over $5 million in certificates on any day and highlights the scheme’s confidence in NCBA’s procedures based on our proven level of integrity, professionalism, efficiency and effectiveness.

In 2019 Green Energy Trading, Australia’s most trusted solar aggregator, bought NCBA to form the biggest certificate creator in the nation with NCBA continuing to act as the energy efficiency arm of the business across both NSW and Victoria.
