Victorian Energy Efficiency Target (VEET)
The National Carbon Bank of Australia is an Accredited Person (AP) under the Victorian Energy Efficiency Target.
VEET is a Victorian initiative also known as the Energy Saver Incentive. It is administered in accordance with the VEET Regulations 2008 by the Essential Services Commission. With very similar intentions to the NSW Energy Savings Scheme, VEET is designed to encourage energy efficiency improvements by making implementation more affordable and investment in industry that contributes to the reduction of greenhouse gases more attractive.
Victorian Energy Efficiency Certificates (VEECS) can only be created when a legitimate reduction in energy efficiency is proven. Evidence in the form of photographs, declarations, receipts and specification reports may be required depending on the nature of the upgrade. VEECS may only be created by using an Approved Provider. Subject to the ESCs conditions being met, National Carbon Bank of Australia will create VEECs on behalf of your company when your energy efficiency has been implemented. We will then sell the VEECs for you and pay you the proceeds from the sale less the registration fees and our service charge.
